Shop Verification

What “Verified” Really Means

We're transparent about what we check — and what we don't.

What We Check

  • The business name is real and searchable
  • A working phone number is provided and confirmed
  • The email address is valid and reachable
  • No obvious fraud flags or scam reports
  • Shop profile is complete (location, services listed)

What We Don't Check

  • We don't physically inspect shops
  • We don't verify business licenses directly with the city
  • We don't do background checks on employees
  • We don't guarantee the quality of their repair work
  • We don't verify insurance certificates

What Actually Matters

The verified badge means a shop is real and legitimate. It does not mean they're good.

The best signal for quality is customer reviews. A 4.8-star rating from 30 real customers tells you far more than any badge we could give. Always read the reviews before accepting a quote.

How Shops Lose Verification

  • Ghosting a customer after accepting a quote
  • Charging significantly more than the quoted price without approval
  • Receiving multiple serious complaints with no resolution
  • Providing false business information
  • Abusive or unprofessional conduct toward customers
