What Happens if Something Goes Wrong

Transparent policies. Clear escalation. No runaround.

Important: FixBid is a quoting platform — we connect customers with shops but do not process payments. Payment disputes must be resolved directly with the shop or your card issuer.

Shop doesn't respond after quote acceptance

  1. 1Message the shop directly in the app
  2. 2If no reply within 24 hours, email timur@fixbid.app with your job ID
  3. 3We investigate and contact the shop
  4. 4If unresolved, your request re-opens for other shops
  5. 5The shop risks losing verified status

You are never locked in. A non-responsive shop does not block you from getting other quotes.

Final price is higher than the quoted amount

  1. 1Before authorizing any work, confirm the price matches the quote
  2. 2If the shop finds additional issues, they must tell you BEFORE doing the work
  3. 3You have the right to decline any work not in the original quote
  4. 4If overcharged without consent, document with photos and email timur@fixbid.app

Quotes are estimates, not guarantees. But shops are expected to communicate changes upfront.

Shop doesn't show up / job never starts

  1. 1Message the shop in-app to confirm appointment
  2. 2If still no-show, report via timur@fixbid.app
  3. 3We contact the shop and document the incident
  4. 4Your request re-opens for other shops immediately
  5. 5Repeat no-shows result in shop suspension

Since FixBid does not process payments, there is no payment to refund unless you paid in advance.

You need to cancel a job

  1. 1Before shop starts work: message them in-app to cancel — no penalty from FixBid
  2. 2After shop starts work: negotiate directly with the shop
  3. 3You may owe for completed work depending on what was done
  4. 4To cancel your FixBid request entirely, use the dashboard

Early cancellation (before work starts) should always be free. Communicate as early as possible.

Serious dispute or potential fraud

  1. 1Gather evidence: screenshots, photos, job ID
  2. 2Email timur@fixbid.app — include all evidence
  3. 3We review within 48 hours
  4. 4If fraud confirmed: shop is removed from platform
  5. 5We can assist with providing documentation for external complaints (BBB, consumer protection)

FixBid does not process payments and cannot issue refunds. For payment disputes, contact your card issuer.
